Saturday, November 10th Texas Hold’em at the Santa Clara County Horseman’s Association 20350 McKean Road, San Jose 140 people attended the Texas Hold’em and over $4,000 was raised for the Doris Dillon Children’s Library Visiting Authors Speaker Series at the Almaden Branch Library to be held Spring 2008. SJSV Chamber of Commerce Benefit: Heart Walk Bowl was held Saturday, August 25 at Cambrian Bowl, 14900 Camden Ave. San Jose Members joined the Chamber's Heart Walk Team for its second annual bowling for fun networking event. Proceeds benefited the American Heart Association.
Saturday, August 11th Annual ABA Softball Game & BBQ was held at Saint Timothy’s Lutheran Church and School 5100 Camden Ave, San Jose, CA The Almaden Business Association was joined by the Cambrian Business Association and the Winchester Business Association for a softball game of ABA vs. the CBA & WBA. BBQ meats were provided and prepared by San Jose City Councilmen. A good time was had by all. Click here for more details and photos.
Saturday, June 30 & Sunday, July 1, 2007 ABA Community Service Project: Relay for Life The first annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Almaden raised an impressive $169,000, and still counting, for cancer research and patient services. Thirty-seven teams and 600 participants – including a team of 14 ABA members – were left exhausted after walking an estimated 5,000 combined miles at Leland High School’s Pat Tillman Stadium. ABA’s team of 14 members plus family members and friends had at least one walker on the Leland High track at all times during the 24 hour walk-a-thon on June 30 and July 1. ABA brought in $6,800 through fundraising and in-kind donations for the Almaden Valley Relay For Life. According to event Chair Patti Gahagan, “The American Cancer Society’s goal for a new relay is $25,000. Thanks to the support from the community, we raised much more!” Thanks to the ABA team’s chair, Gail Infeld, and the Community Service Committee for their time and efforts to achieve such an important community goal.

Panel members over the coming year will share and discuss their successes in traditional marketing activities such as direct mail, advertising, public relations, to generate new business. The focus of this panel discussion was on how they target potential clients, what worked, what hasn’t worked, and how they monitor and track their successes.
